Helen Horn Musser completed coursework in encaustic painting and traditional painting at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Additionally, she completed coursework in drawing at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Texas, and training in watercolor painting with Tom Lynch, master watercolorist. Mrs. Horn Musser is a member of the Northeast Texas Fine Arts Alliance. She is a recipient of the Rockwall Art League Juror’s Choice Award and the Professional Artists and Craftsmen Association’s Ramon Froman Award. Mrs. Horn Musser feels that she has become a successful artist because she spent time honing her skills, and she became involved in her profession because she has maintained a long-standing desire to become an artist. Mrs. Horn Musser has been featured in newspapers, art books and magazines. She feels her work brings visual art into the community. She also donates her art to civic auctions and Christian schools.
